NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE TEST (NIT) – 2026
The National Intelligence Test (NIT) – 2026 is India's pioneering national-level Administrative Skills Assessment Programme exclusively designed for students of Classes IX to XII. The programme aims to identify academically talented students possessing leadership qualities, analytical ability, constitutional awareness, ethical values, and decision-making skills essential for future Civil Services and public leadership.
Unlike conventional examinations that primarily evaluate textbook knowledge, NIT measures the intellectual and personality dimensions expected in future administrators, including logical reasoning, governance awareness, communication skills, civic responsibility, and public service orientation.
The examination follows a scientifically designed Three-Tier Selection Process comprising the District Level Written Examination, State Level Personality Assessment, and National Leadership Presentation to ensure a transparent, merit-based evaluation of future leaders.
